Below you can find some photos of the 'Legnani' model guitar originally made by Johan Georg Stauffer (1778-1853). Stauffer was the best-known guitarmaker from early Vienna. The instruments have adjustable necks and floating fingerboards. The hand crafted machineheads are covered with an engraved metal plate. These guitars are ideally suited for playing Giuliani, Legnani and Matiegka as well as the guitar songs of Franz Schubert.
